Heavy Truck Driving

Trucks course prepares students for the RTA Driving Test, enabling them to get a UAE Driving License category 4. Students completing this course and passing the RTA Driving Tests are licensed to drive Heavy trucks. Heavy Truck criteria- Weight should be more than 2.5 tons

Instructions and Information

  • The minimum age to obtain heavy truck license is 20 years.
  • Minimum 25 hours practical training for Heavy Truck.
  • After passing the required tests and receiving the license obtain a commercial driving permit for driver profession.

Training Details

There are total 4 different tests to pass to get driving license.

Stages of practical training Subject
Stage 1 Basic vehicle operations (Yard/approved location). Preparation for driving and basic operation.
Stage 2 Public roads (light to medium density traffic). Driving in two-way streets 40- km/h
Stage 3 Public roads (medium to heavy density traffic). Driving in multi-lane roads 60-80 km/h
Stage 4 Special maneuvers (yard).Garage, Angle,Parallel, Hill climbing &Emergency breaking
Stage 5 Independent & Highway Training
